Every year, Samuel Easter produces the Easter Service (at Easter!). This year it was recorded at the Burrow.
I wasn't sure what to expect but it was a full on experience. The session started with Samuel on electric guitar and David Boyce on Saxophone - a 23 minute jam of intense patterns and runs weaving in and around each other. Samuel followed this up with a few acoustic numbers and then the whole band let loose on the studio with a hearty 55 minutes of Rock excellence.

Folk Explosion Sessions

Occasionally I record a session for Dave & Clare. They run a fantastic radio show called The Folk Explosion featuring new and old folk music, excerpts of poetry and sound. They have recently forged a brilliant partnership with The Peasants'Tavern in North Walsham - you can often find Dave at the bar or in the music room recording or interviewing bands/artists.

Strictly a Lee Rogers album, his 2nd in fact. We spent quite a few hours in the studio in Norwich for this one. He had loads of ideas and I simply added, tweaked, reworked, nudged etc.
I sang, drummed, programmed beats, sampled, recorded bits and mixed.
We had some great guests on this. Jason Illidge on Bass was a funny geezer. A master of the bass, we plugged him in and off he went. No problem. Some glorious vocals by Thordis Fridrikson too. Some may know her as the Thunder Fairy from BBC Radio Norfolk. Not sure where she is these days but she has a cracking voice.
